ANNUAL PHYSICALS
Annual physical exams are an essential tool we use in safeguarding your child’s health. Having physical exams regularly scheduled and completed are just one way your physician can stay informed of your child’s healthcare needs. It is important to note that many schools, sports activity leagues, extracurricular organizations, and other activities require that your child have an updated physical exam. We highly recommend that you register in our patient portal, where you can receive consistent updates regarding your next examination.
VACCINES
Vaccines are one of the most important tools toward maintaining the health of your family and children. Vaccines serve an important role in not only protecting your child from disease but also in promoting healthy living for the rest of their lives. As shown below, vaccines are administered at different stages of a child’s life, from infancy through young adoloscence. Make sure you are aware and keep your children’s immunizations up to date.

NEWBORN VISITS
As part of our in-depth primary care, routine newborn visits are carried out from the very beginning. Dr. Ortiz himself will visit you and your child in hospital, as the first of many visits and check-ups you will all share together. Below is a list of the following hospitals where Dr. Ortiz is a Volunteer Attending with Privileges.

EARRINGS & HEARING 
In our clinic maintaining cleanliness and safety is paramount in any procedure. For this reason, upon request, Dr. Ortiz can carry out hygenic ear piercings for your child, using the appropraite medical techinques to avoid complications.
Your child’s hearing is checked at every visit.
COUNSELING
Caring for you child’s physical health is not our only priority. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Ortiz has been a compassionate and understanding counselor for many families. Issues regarding nutrition, depression, anxiety, inattentiveness, difficult family situations, and other mental health situations are encouraged to be discussed.
Openess concering questions of sexual health, birth control, substance abuse issues, and of course the importance of education and family are essential to creating a healthy and loving environment.
